Raise the Hope is a program generously sponsored by KENT EASTHILL PHYSICAL THERAPY,
supported by the Hope Heart Institute, and managed by Raise the Bar for women who
are looking to significantly improve their overall health and lower their risk for
heart disease through a lifestyle of healthy eating and exercise.
Heart Disease the #1 Cause of death among women
RTH is designed to use the fun of our sport-based community to help women who have
a significant risk of heart disease gain their health back. Women who struggle with
high body fat percentage, blood pressure, or glucose levels, those who have a history
of stroke or heart disease, are past or present smokers, experience high stress,
or exercise infrequently are invited to participate.
RTH participants attend monthly meetings, group workouts, and health screenings,
in an encouraging, fun, challenging atmosphere.
In 2007, 12 RTH women kicked off this fabulous 9-month journey toward fitness with
Raise the Bar and the Hope Heart Institute. They had an amazing year. The group
lost more than 100 lbs, lowered their Blood pressure and glucose level, and raced
more than 100 times in triathlons, duathlons, fun runs. They workout out 3,510 times!
In 2008, the success continued with 23 women aged 28-53 who lost an average of 3%
body fat and 17 pounds. They did this while training together and participating
in area run events and triathlons and with the generous help of Kagome Juice. They
had an amazing year
In 2009, 27 gals returned to and joined the RTH community - proving to be a powerful
and supportive family of women who encourage each other, and HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE
to attaining their own health goals.
Looking forward to the story that unfolds in 2010

RTH is open to 12 women in 2010. Our preference would be to offer this program to
an unlimited number of women, but to keep the cost low and maximize our resources,
we need to limit the group size. All applicants will be personally contacted whether
you’re eligible for the program or not - and if we aren’t able to invite you to RTH,
we’ll be able to offer you some great options!!
